About Us

Cornwall Learning Outdoors – Cornwall Council’s Outdoor Education Service – operates 8 outdoor centres (3 of which are all canvas) across the county and each year works with over 10,000 clients of all ages.

All the Centres offer excellent equipment, and highly qualified and experienced instructors provide opportunities for developing a wide range of skills in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Cornwall Learning Outdoors has provided a range of training to Adults requiring skills training and national governing body awards in a multitude of pursuits for a number of years.

All National and Cornwall Council guidelines relating to School Lead Adventurous Activities state that the Party Leader should have suitable Skills and Qualifications relevant to the activity they are undertaking.

To enable Teachers/ Youth Workers and other adults to comply with these guidelines, Cornwall Learning Outdoors provide a range of training to Adults requiring instructor / teacher qualifications in a multitude of pursuits.

Our range of courses cover both National Governing Body awards as well as locally approved Cornwall Council in-house awards.

Courses will enable you to gain skills and qualifications that will enable you to lead Adventurous Activities with your students.
